Kelly Solway

Kelly has been a qualified vet nurse since September 2010 & joined Penmellyn in November 2016, starting first in our Newquay branch before moving closer to home, to our branch in Pool. Before becoming a nurse, Kelly studied Equine studies for 4 years at Berkshire College of Agriculture & worked on eventing yards & at riding schools/trekking centres before changing her career to vet nursing. She enjoys all aspects of vet nursing & the variety each day can bring, but has a special interest in nurse consultations, the medical side of nursing & anything feline related!

At home she has many of her own pets including 3 dogs, 3 cats, many chickens & ducks, a leopard gecko & a jumping spider! She also owns 3 horses that she enjoys hacking on, taking to fun rides & doing some local competing.  Kelly has 2 young sons & a stepson so with all her pets & children she doesn't have much spare time outside of work!!
